4 Little Secrets That Will Save You 12-18 Months in Online Marketing

Online Marketing is the elusive grail, the Fabled Land, that promises to solve your top roadblocks – You can start out with little to no money, work from the comfort of your laptop, and generate income from literally ANYWHERE in the world.

Indeed, in the world of Online Marketing, money just drops straight from the Cloud right into your bank account …. that is, if you can figure out all the zillions of nuts and bolts!

Eben Pagan, the world famous marketer and entrepreneur, says that you are only ONE … or at the max TWO skill-sets away from solving any problem or roadblock that you face in business (or indeed, in life).

He also says, that to be successful in any endeavor, you need to develop an insider’s mindset in that area. That alone will take you miles ahead in your quest for success.

So here’s a list of mindsets (that can be honed to become skill-sets) that will put you ahead by at least a year, if you’re just starting out in the world of Online Affiliate Marketing.

1) In the Online World – it is not the PRODUCT, it is the PROSPECT that matters.

Yes – If you are in the right place, you will be able to consistently build a list of prospects that are interested in a particular area of interest (or niche) you can sell them ANYTHING, that pertains to that niche.

This is especially powerful because it puts the entire pressure of BUILDING or even SELECTING an appropriate product right out the window!

All you do is go to place A, build a list of prospects X, Y and Z who appear to be interested in niche B and promote relevant products B1, B2 and B3 to them. You don’t need to even create the products, or even understand them – just pick them up from any of the marketplaces available, filter some of the more popular affiliate products and shoot out the recommendations to your prospect list!

Of course I do not want to make this seem EASIER than it really is – I mean you still need to put in the work, but the model is relatively SIMPLE, if not EASY.

Throw in a couple of other ingredients to give it your own special flavor (read below) and you’re off to a great start!

2) It follows then, that all you are expected to do is Find People?

Well, Yes – You are in the list-building business

In the world of Online Affiliate Marketing, it can get very complicated right at the beginning. What do you want to sell? Or indeed, to start out, what are you good at? What market is hot? Where does the opportunity lie?

All these questions can really put you into a tizzy…literally for weeks or months.

Let me straighten that out for you.


Your ONLY real job in Online Marketing is to build a list of prospects who are interested in looking at what you have to offer.


As long as you can figure out how to consistently keep building a list of prospects in a particular area of interest (also called a niche), you can promote affiliate products to them – that pertain to that area or niche.

3) Money is made in return for providing value.

All of the richest people on the planet, provide value to this world that is either EQUIVALENT or HIGHER than what they are paid for it.

Indeed, Money is a by-product of Value Generation.

So what value can you create?

What is your secret sauce that adds your peculiar color to this universe? If you were to make just ONE person’s life more wonderful, useful or beautiful in Any Way That YOU Choose, what would it be?

You have in you, knowledge that can make an impact in the Information-Marketing world. What excites you? What moves you?

Sure, you may already have abundant Knowledge…or Expertise… in a certain area – most probably your profession, but what area do you have PASSION in? What comes naturally to you? What intrigues you?

What is the riddle you would love to solve, just for fun – even if it meant no money? Go to work IN solving that problem for yourself, and ON solving that problem for others. 4) Get a Mentor as soon as you can.

There is no single area, or item, that will impact your route-to-success more than this 1 item. Jack Ma – the legendary founder of Alibaba Group – says that you should spend the formative years of your career going to work for a CEO that can teach you.

A mentor can help you –

  • Understand your niche better
  • Solve problems
  • Avoid pitfalls – As the old saying goes, a mentor is someone whose hindsight can become your foresight.
  • Make it fun (they’ve been there before so they recognize opportunities when they arise and don’t get stunned by obstacles when they obstruct)

I personally like to work in Private Franchising as the mentorship is already built. Also, in such industries the mentor has a VESTED INTEREST in your success – something that is difficult to find or replace.

So there it is – Find Prospects, Build a List, Provide them with Value and Get a Mentor to find you your way home to Fortune!
